How to Solve Boot Error Initramfs on Ubuntu

Yesterday I repaired a friend’s laptop using Ubuntu 12.04 OS with the error that it could not enter Ubuntu with an error message like the one below, this damage occurred because during a dist-upgrade the laptop died.

After googling finally got a solution and after trying it was successful without any problems. Here are the steps:

1. Boot with Ubuntu LiveCD/LiveUSB
2. Open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T)
3. Look at the partition list to find out which partition the / (root) partition is on

4. The root partition is located in /dev/sda2
5. Scan and fix errors on partitions /dev/sda2
