How to Upload Files To OpenShift Red Hat Cloud

To upload files to OpenShift RedHat Cloud, you don’t use an FTP service like web hosting in general, but you have to use Git. Those who have often used Git will find it easier. Besides Git we also need Ruby for the installation of rhc (OpenShift client tools). I have done the installation for the Ubuntu Linux distro, for installation on other operating systems read on developers.openshift.com.

Install Git

Install Ruby

Ruby is installed in a virtual environment.

Download rbenv and Ruby via Git

So everytime you want to run rbenv type

Run the command install Ruby 2.2.2 on rbenv

Check Ruby installation

Install rhc

setting rhc

Next, a key will be generated

Key location

Upload key

Upload/Download Source Code

Clone/download source code from OpenShift application repository. The repository address is on the application settings page that has been installed on OpenShift.

OpenShift – Repository

Open the cloned folder, make changes. After the changes are complete, proceed to the upload/push process to the server.

good luck
